The Seller and Purchaser agree to the following conditions of this agreement:
1. Kitten/Cat is NOT to be declawed.
2) Adequate indoor sanitary facilities must be provided.
3) This kitten/cat will not be allowed to roam outdoors nor be on any form of a leash (whether attended or not attended) or this health guarantee is void.
4) Seller will provide the following health guarantee:
a) This kitten/cat is guaranteed for 24 hours from time of pickup/delivery of said kitten against fleas, worms, fungus, earmites, respitory illness. b) Seller guarantees this kitten/cat does not have FELV/FIP at the time of pickup, delivery, or shipment. c) If within one year this kitten/cat is found to have a fatal hereditary or congenital defect, seller will replace kitten/cat with another kitten (no guarantee on gender, color, or pattern on replacement animal and with no specific time frame other than within 6-12 litters in the future) d) NO MONEY WILL BE REFUNDED FOR ANY REASON BY THE SELLER. e) FIP will be covered for no more than age 12 months.
Maple Leaf Ragdoll kittens are guaranteed against any congenital/hereditary disorders for the first year and guaranteed for four years for confirmed HCM. If the kitten should die within one year of the above date (4 years for HCM only if confirmed by a certified veterinary cardiologist through a necropsy and confirmed through my veterinarian) from one of these conditions, the proof of the defect in the form of a COMPLETE autopsy report from a licensed, impartial veterinarian (cardiologist if HCM) and confirmed with my personal veterinarian. Autopsy and vet fees are the total responsibility of the Purchaser. The Seller will have no other liability other than the replacement of said kitten in any case, and is not obligated to replace the ktiten with the exact same color and pattern. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL A FINANCIAL REFUND BE GIVEN BY THE SELLER. NO shipping/delivery charges incurred initially will be refunded by Seller. The Seller is not obligated to replace a kitten for any reasons other than those stated above.
Allergic reaction to the kitten/cat is the responsibility of the buyer! We would, of course, help you locate a home for your ragdoll!
IT IS EXPECTED THE NEW FAMILIES WILL FOLLOW CURRENT PROTOCOL REGARDING KITTEN'S BEHAVIORS TOWARD FOOD/WATER/ LITTERBOX. These kittens have been with me since birth and I make these suggestions based on what is best for the kittens. My main goal is to assist you with an easy transition from my home to yours.
You should isolate the kitten in a small room for the first few days and place it with food/water and a medium open litterbox. Allowing the kitten to have complete roam of the new home can be too much for them to grasp and potentially might cause negative habits. Be extremely cautious introducing the kitten to young chidlren - very short periods of introduction are best and must be supervised by an adult.
Do not introduce the kitten to your other pets for several days, depending upon how the kitten is reacting. When you do introduce the kitten to your other pets, it is extremely urgent that you supervise this event.
Take your time with the new kitten and introduce slowely into your normal house routines. Don't expect this new baby to know what you expect of them. This takes TIME and CONSISTENCY. Should a kitten not mind, a spray water bottle does wonders. iF NEW FAMILIES DO NOT FOLLOW THESE SUGGESTIONS IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE KITTEN, MY CONTRACT BECOMES NULL AND VOID. I am not responsible for a family who does not work WITH me and the kitten to allow for an easy transition from my home to the new home.
In the event of a sudden or unexplained death, Purchaser agrees to have an autopsy performed by a licensed veterinarian pathologist and to forward the entire report to the Seller and Seller's veterinarian. The Seller, at their own discretion, may replace cat after the genetic guarantee has expired. FULL medical history must be disclosed to the Seller and/or Seller's personal veterinarian. ALL MEDICAL/AUTOPSY/LAB COSTS ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PURCHASER!
5) Purchaser is advised to take this cat (at purchaser's expense) to a veterinarian for a complete exam within 24 hours of pickup/delivery. No cash refund will be given; however a replacement kitten/cat will be provided with no guarantee of color, pattern, or gender when available but will occur within the next 6-12 litters. No shipping charges will be reimbursed if applicable.
6) Buyer is responsible for all medical expenses IMMEDIATELY after the contract is signed for the purchase of the kitten/cat.
7) Under no circumstances will this cat be sold, leased, gifted, traded, to another person and/or breeder NOR given to a pet shop, research facility, humane society, or other rescue facility. Seller has 1st right of refusal on any kitten/cat and will try to assist in locating a new home for the kitten/cat should this occur.
8) Healthy and nutritious foods will be given to this animal.
9) Top quality veterinarian health care will be provided to this animal.
10) Any legal fees incurred by failing to comply with the above conditions will be the responsibility of the Purchaser and will be filed and governed by construed and enforced in accordance with the laws of the State of Oklahoma, as well as Cleveland County.
11) This is a legal binding document. Buyer agrees to forward all medical records and properly signed registration papers should the cat have to be surrendered back to the seller (Maple Leaf Ragdoll Cattery) due to breach of contract with no reimbursement to Buyer.
12) In very RARE circumstances, I may request an in-home visit to your home during the process of purchasing one of our Maple Leaf ragdolls. Should you have questions regarding this policy, please ask.
13) I take all information given to me (either directly or indirectly) seriously regarding the health and welfare of a Maple Leaf Ragdoll. Should I ever question the care being given to one of my ragdolls, I will ensure a criminal investigation occurs and will cooperate with any and all necessary legal paths (such as animal neglect and/or animal cruelty allegations). I guarantee those person(s) making making animal cruelty/neglect threats or those being investigated for the same will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. My contract becomes null and void upon any accusations being made/investigated to me or others. NO MONEY OR KITTEN/CAT EXCHANGE WILL BE REFUNDED FOR ANY REASON. The Maple Leaf Ragdoll in question would then be surrendered to me, along with all medical paperwork and registration slip. NO MONEY OR KITTEN/CAT EXCHANGE WILL BE REFUNDED FOR ANY REASON.
Vaccination History
To prevent Panleukopenia, Rhinotracheitis and Calicivirus:

KITTEN(S) HAVE BEEN APPROPRIATELY DEWORMED TWICE SINCE BIRTH. THIS OCCURRED THE SAME DAY THEY RECEIVED THEIR SETS OF VACCINATIONS.
KITTEN(S) RECEIVED APPROPRIATE DOSAGE OF "REVOLUTION" FLEA/TICK WITHIN 24 HOURS OF MEETING THEIR NEW FAMILIES. THIS IS DUE TO LIVING IN THE SOUTH, WHICH HAS A HIGH POSSIBILITY OF FLEAS AND TICKS. WHEN THE KITTEN(S) ARE AT THE VET OFFICE HAVING THEIR NEUTER/SPAY IT IS COMMON FOR THEM TO POSSIBLY CATCH FLEAS DUE TO THE NUMBER OF ANIMALS SEEN. PLEASE TALK TO YOUR PERSONAL VET REGARDING CONTINUANCE.
KITTEN(S) WERE BATHED WITHIN 48 HOURS PRIOR TO MEETING THEIR NEW FAMILIES.
NO FIP VACCINE: Do now allow anyone to give this cat a vaccine for Feline Infectious Peritonitis. According to recent reports, this vacccine is totally ineffective and may actually predispose your cat to the disease. This will void my contract if given to a Maple Leaf Ragdoll!
NO FELINE LEUKEMIA VACCINATION: It is felt at this time that the risk of contracting this disease is far less than the severe reactions and even deaths occuring from the vaccinations. Hopefully better and safer vaccines will be available in the future. This will void my contract if given to a Maple Leaf Ragdoll.
Rabies Vaccinations: Check with your own communities as it may be the law. If your vet insists, try to wait until the kitten is at least six months of age and do not give the Rabies injection at the same time as another vaccine.
Altering: This ktten has been altered on _______________.
CANCELLATION POLICY
OWNER/BREEDER HAS THE RIGHT TO TERMINATE THIS CONTRACT BETWEEN BUYER AND SELLER AT ANY TIME SHOULD I FEEL THE BEST INTEREST OF THE ANIMAL WILL NOT BE MET BY CONTINUING THE CONTRACT.
WAIT LIST:
Should there not be the specific ragdoll baby available at the time the contract is signed and deposit paid, be aware there will be no specific litter guaranteed for you. We will do everything we can to satisfy your specific desires within the next 6-12 litters we have.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL ANY CASH REFUND OCCUR BY THE SELLER FOR ANY REASON. We will attempt to work with you on a future litter given the Purchaser's special needs with no specific litter guaranteed; NOR any specific color, pattern, or gender guaranteed; nor any specific time frame guaranteed.
Breeder ALWAYS has first pick of any and all litters. Once kittens are born they are always "under observation" by the breeder until around 6 wks of age, depending upon the litter.
